Inspired by the works of Antoni Gaudi. Pupils from year 6 worked with us over 5 days to create a spectacular new quiet garden for pupils and staff.

‘Inspiration’ is a new mosaic/mural unveiled to commemorate the launch of the London Cultural Olympiad. (more pictures here) The project involved over 50 local children, young people and adults working with Art Start over a two month period. The work provides a symbolic link to culture with images of selected insects from around the world noted for their positive traits that encourage and inspire Potential - Creativity – Thought. Through its creation and visibility it will symbolically address the Cultural Olympiad core values: - the UK’s internationalism
- culture & diversity
- sharing and understanding
- Inspire and involve young people
- Generate a positive legacy (serving as a constant reminder that local people are the heart of communities).

 | We worked with the whole school to create art work with a Marine theme: - Mural / Mosaic alongside the entrance wall.
- Fish mosaic in the wildlife garden.
- Wavy panels for the field shelter.
- Entrance sign created with buttons by Reception and year 1 pupils.

We are working with LBE to gather ideas and suggestions for new Natural Play areas in Enfields Parks and open spaces.

This LBE project is for young people who are at risk of exclusion. Over a 5 week period, students attend alternative education programs designed to address personal issues and get them back into school.
The students have worked on a range of creative projects including individual mosaics, canvas’s and clay work as well as group projects. |
